So You’ve Been Accepted to Florida Tech—Now What?

You just got your congratulatory email and letter in the mail. Your family beams with pride. You’re so ready for the excitement of college. But what happens next?

First of all, throw yourself a dance party and shout your acceptance from the mountain top (or in this day and age, on all of your social media platforms). Getting accepted to Florida Tech is an amazing accomplishment and you should celebrate this happy occasion!

After the celebrating has died down a little, it’s time to get to work. Not work work, but fun work—we promise.

Activate TRACKS account and Complete Panther Pass
This part might sound a little boring, but it’s super important! Once you’ve been accepted to Florida Tech, you’ll be receiving emails about TRACKS and Panther Pass. You’re not an official Panther until you complete these tasks, so make sure you read these notifications and follow the instructions.

Complete Your College Ensemble with Florida Tech Gear
Who doesn’t love a good college hoodie? Before you get to campus, show your Panther Pride with new some new gear. Our online college bookstore has a variety of cool things including shirts, mugs, decals and dorm room accessories. Check it out!

Cruise the Orientation Website
You’ll be receiving orientation emails towards the end of the summer, but if you want to get ahead, take a gander at our orientation website. There you can find useful information on what to bring to school, your orientation leaders and a bunch of answers to your frequently asked questions.

The wait until college can sometimes feel excruciatingly long. August can never come soon enough. Why don’t you make a countdown clock to help wind down the days? We have a clock on the Countdown to College page, but you can get your own for your blog or website. Create your own clock here.

Where’s Pete? Photo Contest
Our mascot, Pete the Panther, is a pretty cool guy. In the summer, he goes on all sorts of adventures with Florida Tech students, faculty, staff and alumni.
