The Difference Between a Good Course and Great One

Guest Blogger: Paul Ranyak

This Marketing Management class has been the most hands-on of any of my classes so far in the MBA program. While the class itself covers the subject well, the project really puts much of it in action and makes the difference between a “good” course and a “great” course. It also reminds me why I picked the on-campus program vs. the online one.

The project allowed me to do creative things I really enjoy, like graphic arts and website design. The promotional materials we produced took a team effort and were beautiful products. Even the printing company was impressed with how good our brochure looked. There were many disciplines at work in this project and everyone had a part. I was not as involved with event planning, execution, or research, but the rest of the team really had that covered. Overall, it was a great learning experience.
