Dr. Catherine Cook Quoted in Space Coast Business Magazine
As an expert in the field, College of Business professor Catherine Cook, PhD., was quoted in the January issue of the magazine Space Coast Business. The article, titled “Where Have All the Tourists Gone?” examines why Brevard County cannot grow their tourism numbers while neighboring counties has been setting records.
Cook is a long time local of Brevard County with a in depth knowledge of Space Coast tourism and hospitality. In a study published in 2010, Cook covers the need to be able to track and quantify successful choices related to tourism. She also said that she was interested in local tourism now that the Space Shuttle program has been retired. Since then, Cook has also published another study titled: “New Dawn for the Space Coast: Life After the Shuttle Program.”
