The Power of Motivated Youth

It’s not every week that we feature a high school student in our FLORIDA TODAY EDGE column series.

This summer, all of us at weVENTURE had the pleasure of meeting many motivated, bright young students through our Entrepreneurial Summer Camp. The camp taught leadership and entrepreneurial skills needed to pursue a business career, as well as the importance of networking.

Following the week-long camp activities, the students all presented a business plan. Among the group of 15 students, Elizabeth Otero, a high school junior at the American Military Academy located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was selected as the first place presenter.
