What happens when a group of super-smarties who love to geek-out on new technology get together?
Trep Hub is collaborative work-space where fellow hackers, coders and innovators get together, share ideas and blow minds.
Just a hop away from campus in downtown Melbourne, Trep Hub offers 2800 square feet of co-working space where fellow techies and entrepreneurs can jump in the “fish tank” and start planning the next big startup. Ping pong breaks are also completely necessary.
Co-founded by Florida Tech alumnus, Brandon Schmitt, and a group of equally awesome technologically-savvy entrepreneurs, Ahmed Reza, Dakota Lawrence and Mark Mohler, TrepHub is helping infuse a startup culture in Melbourne. Members come from diverse backgrounds, but all share a love for innovation and ideation.
TrepHub is not only a great resource for the community but for Florida Tech students as well. Florida Tech has always fostered a startup mentality with engineering students, but that culture shift is spilling over into many disciplines, including the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business’ Student Business Incubator and its Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Development.
Together, these organizations are infusing a jolt of entrepreneurial spirit into the Space Coast— providing opportunities for social value creation and support to future job creators.
Innovation is bubbling up all over campus these days. Between hack-a-thons, Startup Weekends and organizations like Trep Hub and Florida Tech’s Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Development, seeds of innovation are not only getting planted, but watered.
