FIT’s reputation continues to spread across the globe

FIT continues to exploit the opportunities in China, mining not just interested students but also technology developments being pursued by the People’s Republic of China.

In a recent visit, Dr. Hsu (AE/ME Department Head) and I were invited to discuss the ability of FIT to support gas turbine efficiency improvements.  At the table were senior representatives of Siemens and Shanghai Electric, the world’s second and third largest energy companies.  In response to a question from Shanghai Electric to me about working with a University, to my surprise, the senior executive from Siemens Corporation responded: “We work with 35 universities across the globe and FIT has been the most responsive, efficient and decisive school we have ever worked with.”

Needless to say, I was very, very pleased.  When one of the companies you work with provides that kind of recommendation, we must be doing something right!
