Graduate Research Workshop March 14 and 15


There’s still time to register for the library’s Spring 2014 Graduate Research Workshop! A half-day seminar is offered Friday, March 14, 1:00-4:45 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, 8:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Evans Library in the Edwin A. Link Multimedia Room. The workshop will cover:

Module 1: Research Essentials
•    master the most common database research strategies
•    consider the importance of the thorough literature review and academic integrity
•    receive guidance on where to obtain the best publication format tips

Module 2: Library Website
•    take full advantage of resources available on the Library’s website
•    make life easier for yourself through effective use of services
•    learn to judge the value of Internet resources

Module 3: Subject-Specific Breakout Session
•    identify the most effective bibliographic research tools for your discipline
•    participate in tailored instruction on the best information resources for your particular dissertation or thesis research
