Exceptional Leader in Logistics Management – Brig. Gen. Kristin French

A graduate of our M.S. Logistics Management degree program, Brig. Gen. Kristin K. French, assumed the duties of commanding general of the Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command and Joint Munitions Command (JM&L LCMC) in 2013 and was recently featured in Ground Combat & Tactical ISR magazine.

In her position, French, implements integrated life cycle management and provides, effective, available and affordable munitions and lethality to the U.S. military. The goal of the JM&L LCMC is to have the best munitions in the right place, at the right time, at the right cost.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, she commissioned into the Army as a lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps. French served in both the 565th Repair Parts Company and the 553rd Supply and Service Battalion. After serving in Germany, French, attended the Logistics Executive Development Course and Florida Institute of Technology at Fort Lee where she earned a master’s in logistics management. The last position she held, prior to being appointed commanding general of the JM&L LCMC, was commanding the 3rd Sustainment Command at Fort Knox, KY.

During her military career, French earned multiple awards and decorations, which includes the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.

Brig. Gen. French earned her master’s degree in logistics management from FIT Fort Lee.
